Description of Task		Creating Bobtail Return Orders

The instructions below describe one way to create a bobtail return order for a driver, which reduces manual input. It was developed for the use case to dispatch a driver to do multiple runs from/to a home facility to/from a POD. There will be further development of this function so that a driver can self-assign an available empty trailer via the mobile app to his/her already assigned order if he/she is picking up an empty trailer from a POD or other facility.
Step #	Step	Key Points
1	Navigate to Create Return Order	If you know the driver will need to return to your current facility after delivering a trailer, you can create a return order as soon as the original order is created. Click on the kebab menu, and then click on “READY FOR RETURN”. This will open up the Dispatch Form. The Return will be designated at the top of the form with the header “Return Shipment – <ShipmentID> - RETURN”
2	Update Dispatch Order Form	If you are creating an order to dispatch a driver from the POD in his tractor, then ignore the trailer drop down in accordion #1 and the cargo section in accordion#2 (will default as blank). In accordion#3, ensure the correct shipment profile, ‘BOBTAIL’ is selected In accordion #4, validate that the transport or shipment ID, Reference Number (defaults to “<current trailer#> - RETURN”), and Task Order are correct or edit accordingly. In accordion #5, the Origin will default to the destination set in the original transport order. In accordion #6, the Destination defaults to “TBD”. Enter in the delivery information for the return order. In accordion #7, update any Special Instructions to go on the order record (will also be generated on BOL) In accordion #8, all reference numbers are pre-populated with “TBD”. Update the reference numbers if required. Click the blue “SAVE” button to create the return order . Assign the driver as described in Assigning Drivers to Dispatch Orders
